DBW COMMUNICATION FOR ‘LA TRAVIATA’ BY VALENTINO AND SOFIA COPPOLA IN 4K HDR

An extraordinary edition of ‘La Traviata’, created by Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti and directed by Sofia Coppola, is going to premiere today, May 24, at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.
The shots of this new ‘Traviata’, co-produced by Rai Com together with Tohokushinsa, will be realized by the technical staff and technologically advanced equipment of DBW Communication, with the Tv direction of Francesca Nesler, the light design by Vinicio Cheli and the cinematography of Philippe Le Sourd, Oscar-nominated for his work on ’The Grandmaster’ directed by Wong Kar-wai. DBW will operate with 9 4K cameras equipped with 4K lenses – HDR (High Dynamic Range) Wide Color Gamut set-up – and with the first OLED RGB monitor able to produce HDR images. Moreover, DBW is also employing its 4K OBVan, the only multi-cameras OBVan in Italy, and one of the few OBVans in Europe dedicated to 4K- UHD productions, both live and recorded.
