SKI WORLD CUP
DBW COMMUNICATION has gained considerable experience in the ski shooting sector, which are very complex both for the climate and for the logistics, and which require the know-how of specialized personnel, especially in the treatment of optical fibers, ad hoc hardware and software, such as proprietary fiber optic transport, extraordinarily flexible and easily transportable, which allow remote shooting from far away, by connecting groups of remote cameras directly to the central unit of the OB-Van.
In recent years, DBW COMMUNICATION has shot all stages of the Alpine Skiing World Cup in HD and/or 4K ULTRAHD format, including very complex specialties such as downhill, slalom, parallels and giants, with use of up to 25 cameras in contemporary in the high mountains, in prestigious locations such as:
- Bormio (2018 in HD and 2019 in 4K) - Cortina d’Ampezzo (2019 in HD) - Madonna di Campiglio (2018 and 2020 both in 4K) - Kronplatz (2019 in HD)
DBW COMMUNICATION also made the footage of the Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals in HD format. For this production, two mobile control rooms were used that managed up to 25 rooms simultaneously in the high mountains in the town of Soldeu (State of Andorra, 2019). DBW COMMUNICATION also shot World Cup Snowboard and Free Style competitions in HD format at:
- Carezza (2019) - Innichen (2019)
DBW COMMUNICATION is undoubtedly a candidate as a reference structure for complex shooting of alpine ski specialties, thanks to its experience, know-how and technical equipment.
